Les missions

The Sustainable Development Manager is at the heart of the environmental and social strategy of a company or organization. Its main mission is to define and manage initiatives aimed at reducing the ecological impact of activities, while promoting ethical and responsible practices.

It starts by evaluating the current situation of the company by carrying out a diagnosis of environmental impacts (energy consumption, waste management, CO₂ emissions) and social impacts (working conditions, diversity). On this basis, it proposes an action plan aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the UN.

The Sustainable Development Manager collaborates with various departments (HR, production, logistics) to integrate sustainable practices at all levels. It is implementing initiatives such as the reduction of waste, the use of renewable energy sources, or the promotion of the circular economy. It also ensures compliance with the standards and laws in force.

At the same time, it makes employees and stakeholders (customers, partners, suppliers) aware of the challenges of sustainable development through training and communication campaigns. He is also responsible for monitoring and reporting on the actions implemented, by producing performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the progress made.

A visionary, the Sustainable Development Manager anticipates trends and innovations related to the environment and social responsibility, in order to help the company remain competitive while respecting its commitments to the planet and society.
