Les missions

The Shellfish Cultivation Expert is responsible for the breeding and management of shellfish, mainly oysters and mussels. It follows the development of larvae and their growth in tanks or at sea, by monitoring environmental conditions such as temperature and water quality.

It applies specific techniques to improve the yield and quality of shellfish, by adapting cultivation methods to natural conditions and climatic variations. It also ensures the prevention and treatment of diseases that may affect farms.

At the same time, it participates in harvesting and sorting operations, ensuring compliance with health standards and marketing conditions. He may also be involved in the processing and sale of shellfish products.

Finally, it works in close collaboration with researchers and specialized organizations to develop sustainable practices and improve the resilience of farms in the face of environmental challenges. Its expertise is essential to maintain a balance between production, quality and respect for marine ecosystems.
