Les missions

The IT Security Engineer is responsible for guaranteeing the integrity, confidentiality and availability of an organization's information systems. Its main mission is to anticipate, detect and prevent threats that could compromise digital infrastructures.

Upstream, it analyzes existing systems to identify faults and vulnerabilities. It offers and implements protection solutions, such as the deployment of firewalls, the configuration of antivirus, or the installation of encryption solutions. It also ensures that software updates are carried out regularly to protect systems from the most recent attacks.

When a security incident occurs, the engineer intervenes quickly to identify the origin of the attack, contain it, and neutralize it. He often works closely with IT teams to minimize the impact of cyberattacks on the business.

In addition, it sets up security policies and educates employees on best practices, such as managing passwords and recognizing phishing attempts. Finally, it monitors constantly to monitor the evolution of technologies and threats in order to continuously adapt defense strategies.
